JOB DESCRIPTION

LARGEPRINTING.com has an immediate opening for an experienced Large Format Production Graphic Artist. This position combines production art, prepress, customer support, and e-commerce order processing responsibilities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in preparing customer artwork for large-format print production.

Working closely with our Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Shipping teams, this role plays a critical part in maintaining the quality, accuracy, and customer experience that have made LARGEPRINTING.com a leader in the large-format printing industry.

Responsibilities

·       Evaluate and process on-line orders using our web-to-print platform.

·       Enter orders in our internal workflow management system (Cyrious Control)

·       Preflight customer provided files for orders to minimize issues in Production.

·       Create production-ready files including bleeds, contour cuts, paneling, scaling, and nesting as required.

·       Verify order details for accuracy and communicate with customers when clarification is required.

·       Prepare proofs for customer review and approval.

·       Assist in workflow and process improvement planning

·       Coordinate with managers concerning schedules and deadlines, ensuring a smooth workflow.

·       Assist Sales Team by answering phones, helping with walk-in clients and entering offline orders.

·       Other duties as assigned.

·       Knowledge on large format and commercial printing industry.

·       Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

·       A sharp eye for content, strong attention to detail, and focus on quality.

·       Proficient in preflighting files, preparing production-ready artwork, generating proofs, and troubleshooting file-related issues.

·       Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.

 

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent industry experience

·       2+ years of experience in print production, prepress, sign manufacturing, or large-format printing environments.

·       Experienced in current design and page layout software.

·       File prep and "fixing" for print-ready status - pre-flighting, layering, knockout, trapping, and overprints.

·       Experience with Color Management rules and methodologies adhering to industry color standards.

·       Experience reviewing customer-supplied artwork and making production recommendations to ensure successful print results.

·       Willingness to learn new skills and train others on these skills as they are incorporated into the digital workflow.
