Job description

At Side, we work alongside some of the world's leading developers and innovators to create immersive interactive experiences that combine cutting-edge technology with exceptional user engagement.
This project is focused on the development of a next-generation first-person VR flight simulation experience built in Unreal Engine 5. Combining realistic simulation systems, immersive environments, and intuitive interactions, the project aims to deliver highly authentic aviation experiences that place users at the centre of complex real-world scenarios. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help shape virtual environments, prototype interactions, and refine user experiences that balance realism, usability, and immersion. This is an opportunity to contribute to a sophisticated simulation project that pushes the boundaries of real-time technology and interactive design.
We're looking for a talented 3D Artist with experience creating high-quality real-time assets for Unreal Engine projects, helping bring an immersive VR flight simulation to life through visually compelling and technically optimised content.
As these are project-based opportunities, positions may be amended, postponed, or withdrawn as a result of changing client requirements and project priorities.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a 3D Artist within game development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality asset creation for real-time environments.
  • Strong proficiency in creating game-ready 3D assets, including hard-surface and organic modelling, with a good understanding of topology, optimisation, and visual quality.
  • Strong understanding of PBR workflows, materials, texturing, and asset integration within modern game engines.
  • Experience working across a variety of asset types, including environment props, vehicles, interactive objects, and supporting gameplay elements.
  • Ability to work from concept art, reference material, and design briefs while maintaining consistency with established visual direction.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with designers, technical artists, and engineers throughout development.

Nice to Have
  • Experience developing assets for VR projects, with an understanding of the visual and performance considerations required for immersive experiences.
  • Experience working on first-person experiences, simulation titles, or flight simulation projects.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 asset pipelines, LOD creation, collision setup, and optimisation workflows.
  • Experience creating aircraft, mechanical assets, military equipment, or other technically detailed hard-surface content.

Benefits
  • Competitive Salary.
  • Dynamic, multicultural and fun environment.
  • You will be working for the world's leading provider of game services.
  • We empower our people and offer regular progression opportunities to ensure our employees flourish.
