PrintOvations, an Omaha based print and promotional products company currently has an opening for a Production Artist. As a provider of screen printed and embroidered apparel, signage, print and promotional products, we are Omaha's one-stop marketing shop, equipped to help our customers with their brand awareness and marketing campaigns.

Job Description

Primary responsibilities and qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:

Typeset & print design of customer collateral & promotional material

Produces layouts based upon external and internal requests or pre-established campaign or graphic 

standard system

Performs pre-press responsibilities to include but not limited to scaling, cropping, retouching, repositioning, pre-flighting, optimizing and packaging final files and preparing for print, distribution and archival.

Ensures accuracy of work and files, quality checks and constantly looking to improve the quality of work 

and standards

Archives assets properly and manages shared digital assets

Manages project workload and deadlines

Communicates with customers and internal staff

Follows a layout to place computer generated vinyl or full-color graphic images on a pre-determined substrate 

or medium

Prepares substrates for application which may include cutting, laminating, cleaning and maintaining the substrates for vinyl application

Weeds excess vinyl from computer cut images

Performs quality assurance measures pre- and post-production

Performs finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating and/or mounting of printed pieces

Reports inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the Owner

Works on different projects simultaneously

Performs routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary

Loads materials on/into printer and/or laminator which may require some heavy lifting

Cutting, weeding and applying vinyl for heat press requests

Internal print design for marketing department

Graphic work for web or social media

Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task 

Other job related duties or projects as assigned 


Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite CS5 or higher (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat Pro)

Excellent writing and editing skills and a keen eye for details

Provide a portfolio of work and speak to the creative, technical and production management skills 

Ability to work full-time in office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. 

Follows all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
