Job description

**This role is based in Raleigh, NC. Local candidates only. (No per diem offered) This is not a staffing role.**
FUNCTION:
The Field Safety Consultant inspects client work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. This position will work to create and enforce a culture of safety within Exceed Safety LLC and all of our clientsโ€™ workplaces. Responsibilities also include documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability. This position reports to the Director of Client Engagement and the assigned Subject Matter Expert/Project Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • ย Provide support to all Exceed Safety LLC and clientโ€™s employees
  • Supervises field safety compliance by ensuring that Exceed Safety LLC and clientโ€™s employees are fulfilling labor safety policies
  • Conducts safety classes as well as new hire safety orientations.
  • Responsible for all county, states, and federal DOT compliance requirements.
  • Enhance job knowledge by participating in educational training sessions.
  • Inspect working conditions in manufacturing sites to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, as well as Exceed Safety LLC and our clientโ€™s requirements.
  • Perform safety audits, job hazard analysis and incident investigations.
  • Advise and assist in the development and implementation of plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure safety programs are aligned with company and site goals.
  • Conduct/assist with the incident investigation process to ensure thorough investigations, provide resolutions, and issue reports.
  • Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
  • Intervene in unsafe activities or operations

COMPETENCIES:
Basic:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 Years experience in Construction and at least 4ย years of Management experience.
  • OSHA 500
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driverโ€™s license

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, type, carry up to 40 lbs, pushing and bending. May be required to occasionally work at heights and in confined space.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
  • This is a full-time position with the possibility of varying shifts.
  • Up to $40 per hour depending on experience.ย
