Assistant Operations Manager

What You’ll Do
  • Supervise and dispatch move teams daily, coordinate employee scheduling and truck assignments.
  • Supports movers and drivers and ensure that they have everything they need to be safe and successfully exceed customers expectations
  • Oversee workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, and oversee new employee onboarding and training.
  • Coordinate and direct fleet maintenance and equipment inventory; ensure trucks and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and professional manner.
  • Promote safety and uphold safety procedures and policies; ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines.
  • Calmly and professionally handle displeased customers and provide timely responses and resolutions to customer concerns.
  • Responsible for employee development, accountability, and corrective action programs.
  • Responsible for being an “on-call” emergency contact outside of normal business hours.
What We’re Looking For
A minimum of 1 years of business, management, or other relevant experience is required; TWO MEN AND A TRUCK or moving industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience in business, management, logistics or other relevant experience is required
  • TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® experience preferred
  • Must be approved by insurance company to drive company vehicles including box trucks under 26,000lbs
  • Must meet background check standards and pass a drug test
  • Must have a proven history of high standards of customer service, safety and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example, motivate, take initiative, develop, and direct people, and be accountable.
  • Ability to assess the performance of self, employees, and franchise to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Strong decision-making ability.
