Position Summary
The University of New Mexico's Office of the President is seeking a professional and energetic Admin Assistant 2 to assume the busy front desk operations for the office in support of the president, chief of staff and administrative staff.
The successful candidate will have experience in managing busy phone operations and greeting and assisting visitors to the office. Additionally, this position will be responsible for performing a wide range of administrative duties including but not limited to:
• Preparation and proof reading of a variety of documents
• Scheduling electronic calendars and meeting rooms
• Maintenance of filing system
• Inventory/supply needs.

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
  • All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Demonstrated experience in overseeing busy front-desk operations, especially in an executive setting
• Experience in managing electronic calendars and appointments
• Experience with maintaining and updating filing systems
• Experience with inventory and supplies systems
• Experience working with and ensuring confidential information at all times
• Ability in composing, proofreading and preparing documents
• Proficient in computer operations including Outlook, Microsoft suite, experience with MAC computers a plus
