About Meritus Property Group
Meritus is comprised of a committed team of commercial and multi-family management professionals that take great pride in being stewards of the built environment, operating assets efficiently, and providing an outstanding tenant experience.
Meritus currently operates retail, commercial, industrial, and multifamily properties in the Portland, Oregon metro area, including the Willamette Valley and Vancouver, Washington, through the Seattle, Washington metro area.
About this role:
As a leasing agent, you will be the face of Meritus, responsible for attracting and retaining tenants for our portfolio of properties. You will play a vital role in ensuring these properties are fully occupied and tenants are happy with their experience with Meritus.
What you'll do- includes but is not limited to:
  • Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants
  • Respond to inquiries from potential tenants and provide information about the property
  • Process rental applications, including conducting background and credit checks
  • Prepare lease agreements and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
  • Collect rent payments and maintain tenant records in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections with tenants
  • Address tenant concerns and maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Assist with property maintenance, including scheduling repairs and coordinating with vendors
  • Utilize phone etiquette to handle incoming calls and provide excellent customer service
  • Upsell additional services or amenities to current and prospective tenants
  • Maintain positive relationships with tenants to ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction

Please note: this position requires frequent commuting between properties
Qualifications:
  • Strong leasing and sales skills and background
  • Proficient in using CRM and Yardi Voyager software for property management tasks
  • Administrative skills for handling lease agreements, rental applications, and other documentation
  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with tenants and address inquiries or concerns
  • Knowledge of property maintenance procedures to coordinate repairs and ensure a well-maintained property
