· Inspect, diagnose, and service brake systems, including pads, rotors, drums, etc.

· Mount, dismount, and balance tires; inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation, and rotate as needed.

· Perform general preventive maintenance inspections (fluids, belts, hoses, lights, filters) on trucks and earth-moving equipment, and flag additional repairs needed.

· Keep accurate maintenance records/logs for each vehicle and piece of equipment, including services performed and parts used.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all safety procedures when using tools and equipment.

· Order or request parts and supplies as needed and communicate with the shop/fleet manager on vehicle/equipment status and downtime.

· Assist with additional light mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned.

Ideal Qualifications & Skills:

  • Some prior hands-on experience with trucks, heavy equipment, or small engine maintenance preferred (oil changes, brakes, tires, or similar); willingness to be trained on any gaps.
  • Basic understanding of hand and power tools commonly used in vehicle and equipment maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing; CDL a plus but not required.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of shop safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently.

Other Details:

  • Position is full time, hourly and pay will be based on experience level.
  • Benefits including potential bonus, health insurance, dental insurance, 401K, and paid time- off to be discussed.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
