New York University, in partnership with Korn Ferry, invites nominations and expressions of interest for the position of Senior Vice President for Global Real Estate, Facilities and Campus Development.

New York University (NYU) is one of the world's premier institutions of higher education, known for its academic excellence, global reach, and vibrant urban campus. With its primary footprint in Greenwich Village and Downtown Brooklyn, NYU is one of the largest landowners in New York City, stewarding a real estate portfolio of over 20 million square feet. The University also operates degree-granting campuses in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai, and academic centers in cities around the world, offering students and faculty a truly global experience.

At this pivotal moment, NYU seeks a strategic and visionary leader to serve as its next Senior Vice President for Global Real Estate, Facilities and Campus Development. This newly created position ensures that the University is actively and strategically improving, developing, and managing its real estate assets, campus plan, sustainability initiatives, and capital program in full alignment with the University's commitment to academic excellence and community engagement.

Reporting to the President, with dotted-lines to the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief of Staff, the Senior Vice President will serve as the University's senior executive responsible for responsible for planning and overseeing the effective execution of the University's capital program, including major construction and renovation projects across NYU's global footprint. The SVP will work closely with deans, faculty, senior administrators, and external partners to shape and execute a bold vision for NYU's physical environment.

Key priorities for the Senior Vice President include leading NYU's capital strategy and campus planning efforts, overseeing major real estate development initiatives, advancing institutional sustainability priorities, and managing relationships with tenants, community stakeholders, and government entities. The SVP will be responsible for maximizing lease revenue, driving financially sustainable development aligned with presidential priorities, and ensuring that NYU's facilities and infrastructure meet the evolving needs of its academic, research, medical, and service missions.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned and forward-thinking executive with 15+ years of real estate development experience, including experience in economic development, facilities, and operations and placemaking. They will bring a strong track record of leading large-scale real estate capital initiatives, including strategy development, financial planning, property searches and space allocations. They will have demonstrated success in managing a multi-functional global real estate portfolio of comparable complexity in higher education, government, healthcare, scientific, or technology sector, on scale similar to NYU's holdings. A bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, finance, public administration, real estate, or a related field is required; an advanced degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
