The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Applications Learning Specialist works closely with the Senior Applications Learning Specialist in designing and delivering technical and operational training content and materials for organization-wide applications and systems, e.g., Salesforce, Cvent, and Workday.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the development of learning and development strategies to train users at all levels of the organization in the usage and best practices of IT tools.

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate technical training programs including on-line courses, self-study, and blended learning opportunities for WWP applications, e.g., Salesforce, Cvent, Workday, SAS.

  • Develop training materials, e.g., training aids, training handbooks, presentation materials, and PowerPoint slides, based on teammates' needs analyses and the effectiveness of the instructional method.

  • Create instructor materials including course outline, background materials, instructional materials, and training aids.

  • Design and deliver new product and features training using appropriate delivery method as assigned, e.g., classroom, online, computer-based, multimedia, simulators, and blended learning workshops.

  • Create and maintain a library of training documentation and guides.

  • Establish course objectives, program presentations, and participant manuals for projects and applications, as assigned.

  • Ensure quality and consistency of course content by analyzing training effectiveness and metrics, and suggesting improvements, as necessary.

  • Work collaboratively with leaders and teammates to provide systems-related demonstrations.

  • Provide recommendations on communications and training best practices and methods.

  • Collaborate with teammates to coordinate training delivery.

  • Review IT project timelines and assess timeliness of releases.

  • Assist with drafting communications, in cooperation with project leads and the Communications team.

  • Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver comprehensive, professional training materials and content.

  • Strong understanding of current instructional design tools and methodologies.

  • Good working knowledge of adult learning theory, techniques, principles, and methods.

  • Good working knowledge of IT systems and operational requirements, policies, and procedures.

  • Strong consultative and written/verbal communication skills with an ability to work effectively with leaders and teammates at all levels.

  • Possess a creative, insightful, and innovative approach to learning with a focus on fun, service, and practical application.

  • Well-developed sense of aesthetic and product delivery.

  • Strong consultative skills with the ability to influence others regarding learning and development solutions.

  • Professional presence and demeanor.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing training and development software, e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate.

  • Working knowledge of learning management systems and technical applications, e.g., Docebo LMS, Salesforce, Cvent, and Workday.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, assignments, and priorities, completing them within deadlines.

  • High energy level. Self- starter: willing to take initiative and work independently when needed.

  • Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and business ethics and conduct.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in instructional design and developing training for adult learners.

  • Two years of experience designing and developing interactive self-paced e-learning.

Preferences

  • Two years of experience facilitating technical training to adult learners.

  • Two years of experience in conducting training needs analysis and assessments.

EDUCATION

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, training, or relevant field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
