We're hiring a Dispatcher to join County Materials in Maxwell, IN.
Job Summary:
The Dispatcher is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating truck schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and production demands. This role communicates with customers and drivers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries, prepares delivery documentation, maintains accurate dispatch records, and supports daily operational and administrative functions. The Dispatcher plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and effective communication between departments.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Plan and organize regional loads to dispatch trucks according to customer requests and production schedules
  • Communicate with customers to determine delivery needs, driver demand, and scheduling requirements
  • Assign drivers to routes and notify them of delivery schedules
  • Enter assignment and routing data into dispatch software and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare delivery tickets and related documentation for drivers
  • Respond to inquiries from drivers regarding routes, schedules, and delivery issues.
  • Utilize multi-line phone systems, two-way radios, and computer software for coordination and communication
  • Perform administrative duties including data entry, filing, and reporting
  • Assist with resolving customer delivery concerns or service issues.
  • Support operations team with special scheduling adjustments during peak production periods.
  • Assist with reporting or documentation for management review.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
