Job description

STAMFORD SCHOOL SECURITY OFFICER

We are currently seeking Part-Time, Customer Service oriented, Security Offers to join our growing USI team in Stamford, CT!

School experience is required.

Schedule & Hours:

We have part-time availability for this location.

  • MONDAY-THURSDAY: 2PM-6PM
  • $23.50

Security Officer Job Responsibilities:

  • Patrol the school grounds, including hallways, classrooms, parking lots, and other areas.
  • Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to unusual or suspicious activities.
  • Conduct regular checks on doors, windows, and other entry points to ensure they are secure.
  • Manage and monitor the entry and exit of individuals at the school, including visitors, students, and staff.
  • Assist to Issue and check visitor badges and ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to the premises.
  • Maintain logs of visitors and their purpose for visiting.
  • Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches, following established protocols.
  • Assist in evacuations during emergencies and ensure that all individuals are accounted for.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
  • Address and de-escalate conflicts between students, staff, or visitors in a calm and professional manner.

Security Officer Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Customer Service Skills Desired
  • Can always stay alert
  • Ability to work in high pedestrian traffic environments

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ Year Security experience required
  • Active CT Security License required
  • Fingerprinting Required
  • Drivers License preferred
