Job description

Job Description IBM Maximo Developer - Junior/Mid-Level Position Overview An established energy infrastructure organization is seeking an IBM Maximo Developer to join the team responsible for its enterprise asset and maintenance management platform. The developer will configure Maximo applications, create automation scripts, support integrations and reports, troubleshoot production issues, and assist with the organization's continued adoption of IBM Maximo Application Suite Manage. This is a hands-on position suited for someone who has developed a solid Maximo foundation and wants exposure to a modern MAS environment and complex field operations.

This is a full-time position based in Denver, Colorado, or Houston, Texas, with a hybrid office schedule. Responsibilities Configure and support applications within IBM Maximo and MAS Manage. Develop and maintain workflows, escalations, automation scripts, domains, relationships, conditional expressions, and security configurations.

Assist with Maximo enhancements based on maintenance, operations, engineering, and business requirements. Create and maintain integrations using the Maximo Integration Framework, REST APIs, JSON, object structures, enterprise services, and publish channels. Write Python/Jython automation scripts that implement validations, calculations, notifications, and other business rules.

Develop and modify BIRT reports, queries, KPIs, and operational dashboards. Assist with mobile configurations supporting field maintenance and work execution. Investigate application errors, failed integrations, reporting problems, data issues, and user-access concerns.

Write and troubleshoot SQL queries using SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2. Participate in Maximo upgrades, system testing, deployments, patches, and migration activities. Prepare technical documentation, deployment instructions, test cases, and user-support materials.

Follow Git-based version-control and application change-management procedures. Provide production support and communicate issue status to users and technical team members. Work closely with senior developers, administrators, business analysts, and operational stakeholders.

Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement projects. Follow company safety, security, data-management, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Two or more years of IBM Maximo development, configuration, implementation, administration, or application-support experience.

Hands-on exposure to Maximo 7.6, MAS Manage 8.x, or MAS Manage 9.x. Experience with several Maximo configuration components, such as workflows, escalations, automation scripts, domains, relationships, application designer, or security groups. Working knowledge of Python/Jython, Java, JavaScript, C#, or another object-oriented programming or scripting language

Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries. Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, web services, or enterprise application integrations. Understanding of application testing, defect resolution, and software deployments.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical team members and application users. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.

Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements for occasional travel. Preferred Qualifications Experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite or MAS Manage. Maximo Integration Framework experience.

BIRT reporting experience. Exposure to Maximo Mobile or Maximo Anywhere. Git or GitHub experience.

Power BI or Microsoft Fabric exposure. Experience supporting maintenance, reliability, inventory, purchasing, asset, or work-management processes. Oil and gas, pipeline, utilities, manufacturing, transportation, or other asset-intensive industry experience.

Participation in a Maximo upgrade, implementation, or cloud/MAS migration. IBM Maximo certification or formal Maximo training.
