Role Overview

Maesa is currently seeking a Demand Planner to join our team. The Demand Planne will forecast the bottoms up item level demand for brands within Maesa, through use of a demand planning system, in conjunction with a consensus-based demand planning process with sales, marketing, and finance. Roles and responsibilities will expand to other areas such as projects and process improvement, based on candidate's skill-level and performance. 

This role is based in New York City and follows a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of several days per week in the office. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop item level/account forecasts in the Anaplan Demand Planning System, in partnership with Sales, Marketing and Finance as part of monthly planning cycle and ensure demand accuracy across portfolio (level and mix), for a rolling 24 months, through use of adjustments to the statistical forecast and adjustment of building blocks to the demand plan. 
  • Understand key growth drivers and analyze performance vs. plan, last cycle and prior year and related to POS trends and retailer inventory levels. 
  • Assist is preparing for S&OP/IBP cycle meetings, to drive understanding of and decisions on risks and opportunities to the business plan. 
  • Collaboration with Operations to ensure understanding of item level forecasts and collaborate with Supply Planning around purchase order decisions as needed and analysis of less than lead-time opportunities. 
  • Innovation Planning: Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to develop, modify, and report performance against collaborative forecast assumptions. 
  • Portfolio Management: Collaborate with Marketing and Sales in the portfolio management process, include identifying slow moving items and incorporating marketing strategy into future demand plans. 
  • Understand and analyze in-month shipments and customer service, to improve accuracy of near-term item forecasts. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, or equivalent 
  • 2-4 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning or equivalent. 
  • Experience with Anaplan, Logility, Valogix, highly preferred. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. 
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to prioritize, multi-task and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills and attention to details. 
  • Strong problem solver who identifies improvement opportunities and implements sustainable solutions 
  • Highly cross functional with the ability to work independently and with a team. 
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed. 
  • Knowledge of Tableau, and a forecasting model tool preferred. 
  • Experience working with a nationwide retailer and the beauty industry. 

What We Offer  

$70,000/yr - $85,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
