Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Utilizing Dynamics, develop the Work Orders for production to satisfy the customer demands.
  • Utilizing daily information from Dynamics, schedule, reschedule or cancel orders as needed.
  • Schedule system maintenance daily to close orders and update issue dates.
  • Conduct daily review of Planned Orders to create Production Orders required to meet demand.
  • Communicate the production schedule to Production supervisors daily.
  • Communicate any raw material shortages to Purchasing daily.
  • Utilize scrap reports and adjust scrap product from W.I.P inventories.
  • Assist, as needed and directed in providing required information to Customer Service.
  • Notify Customer Service of any schedule impacts to customers.
  • Assist as needed in physical inventories.
  • Follow process for material rejects with Quality Control and insure scrap recount.
  • Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules and coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
  • Develop the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory.
  • Review material shortages, stock outages and safety stock levels while working with buyers, material planners, schedulers, and manufacturing to meet customer requirements.
  • Schedule orders to meet production goals and formed action plans to handle time component constraints.
  • Develop detailed analysis of customer orders, improving lead-time performance, on-time shipment goals, inventory turns and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for and liaison with the order center, internal and external customers, sales, demand planning, logistics, manufacturing, and operations departments.
  • Maintain communication with customer service on promise dates, shortages, and backorders.
  • Other related duties as required.

Requirements
Education/Knowledge: High school diploma or general equivalent degree (GED). APICS certification preferred. Associates Degree is preferred.
Experience: Previous production planning experience in a related industry.
Skills: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods. Ability to interact well with internal and external customers. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Microsoft Excel skills are required. Must be able to learn and demonstrate proficiency within Dynamics ERP system to perform essential job functions.
Physical Requirements: Physical demands commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job which requires the ability to stand, walk, reach, push, pull, grasp, talk, hear, and see. Office and Floor work. The employee is required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, or otherwise move objects.
