CONTINENTAL CONSTRUCTION IS HIRING IMMEDIATELY IN GREENCASTLE
Position: IRONWORKER
Start Date: IMMEDIATE
Duration: 6 MONTHS
Pay: $30/hr
Overtime: 50-60 Hours/Wk. Available
Per Diem: $75/Day PLUS $200/Week Stipend Paid if worked every day scheduled. 

Job Summary:
Perform tasks involving physical labor at heavy construction projects. Raises, places and unites beams, girders, columns, bracing, and other structural steel members to construct structures or framework.
Essential Duties:
Follow Daily Procedures and Protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings and Safety Handbooks. Properly follow OSHA safety procedures.  Bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent or Safety Facilitator.
Use basic rigging knowledge to set up hoisting and raising of structural steel members.
Signals crane operator in setting of steel members during erection.
Using tag line, guides members in place then uses hand tools to pry, push, and pull the members into place so that the connections can be made up.
Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components together in various body positions and may assist in lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
Bolts, welds, and cuts material as needed to make up connections.
Loads, transports and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies
Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment
Full-time position, benefits, hourly pay
Qualifications:
Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy construction work.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
Ability to understand and execute erection drawings.
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Able to travel and work overtime (may include nights and weekends).
Must be at least 18 years of age, pass drug screen and background check.
