Job description

Lakeshore Village Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is currently searching for a talented Dietary Cook to join our team! We are hiring for PRN.

Dietary Aide Responsibilities:ย 

  • Ensure that safety precautions, life safety, and infection control policies and procedures are followed during the daily work assignments.ย 

  • Prepare food as assigned and assist cook as needed, assuring that food is handled and stored using proper procedures. Gain knowledge of diets and menus.ย 

  • Serve meals, clear the main dining room, and wipe tables.ย 

  • Wash dishes and equipment and thoroughly clean work area.ย 

  • Make sure tray preparation follows prescribed menus and resident likes and dislikes are honored when possible.ย 

  • Prepare and distribute snacks to the nursing department as needed.ย 

  • Stock storeroom and bring out stock as needed.ย 

  • Take out trash; sweep and mop floors in main dining room, kitchen, and pantry; wipe pantry shelves; scrub baseboards and walls as needed; clean appliances, equipment, freezers, etc.; always leave kitchen clean and orderly.ย

The primary purpose of the Dietary Aide is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures while delivering on the Eduro Healthcare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results.ย 

**Daily Pay Available**ย 

Dietary Aide Requirements:ย 

  • Must complete orientation required by company policy.ย 

  • Must complete health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.ย 

  • Must complete mandatory drug test upon hire.ย 

  • Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.ย 

  • Must become familiar with and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.ย 

  • Must show, within three (3) days of hire, satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.ย 

  • Must have a current Food Handlerโ€™s Permit.ย 

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Dietary Aide or similar roleย 

  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is a plus!ย
