The Assistant Compliance Officer is responsible for assisting the Director, Compliance Officer, with the management and oversight of the Compliance Management System (CMS) program for the Credit Union. The Assistant Compliance Officer will be a leader for the Compliance team and throughout the organization in creating a culture of compliance through collaboration and relationship building, strong communication, and strong analytical skills. They will supervise the Compliance Analysts and serve as a mentor and leader within this role. The Assistant Compliance Officer will report directly to the Director, Compliance Officer.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am -4:00pm. This position will be a hybrid model both in person and remote with minimum of onsite expectation of 40% or as needed.

In this position, you will

  • Act as a subject matter expert of applicable laws, rules, and regulations affecting financial institutions, including proficient investigative and interpretative skills.
  • Responsible for monitoring and analyzing developing trends and changes in regulatory compliance law, rules, and regulations; and consult with Credit Union personnel on the operational impact and implementation of any trends or changes. This includes the collection of data, analysis of regulatory requirements, and compilation and reporting of the results.
  • Responsible for oversight of the development, scheduling, and execution of the compliance monitoring program, including issue reporting, change management control, and review of supporting documentation.
  • Management and oversight of the Compliance Analysts.
  • Develops, delivers, and monitors compliance-related training for the organization.
  • Assist with accurately compiling and gathering documentation and information for reporting, including internal and external audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelors (Required)3 or more years' experience working with the Consumer Protection Regulations and a comprehensive knowledge of Compliance concepts and principles.| Required 6 or more years of experience working in compliance (or related field) at a Financial Institution.| Required Any equivalent combination of experience and education.| RequiredCertification required in field of expertise - i.e., CRCM; NCCO; CCUE; CUCE; etc.
