Job Duties

  • Identify vehicles in violation of University parking regulations.
  • Issue parking citations, install wheel locks, and provide motorist assistance.
  • Monitor parking lots daily for maintenance issues, including potholes and damaged or missing signage.
  • Assist customers with basic account information, including balances and permit activity.
  • Provide front office support, including issuing passes, answering phones, and performing administrative tasks.
  • Install and maintain parking signage as needed.
  • Utilize handheld devices to enter and retrieve vehicle registration and enforcement data.
  • Ensure accuracy of all citation information entered into the mobile system and document violations with photographs.
  • Assist with working all special events, including the placement of cones and reserved spaces for events of all sizes, on weekdays and weekends.
  • Assist University Police with campus gate operations.
  • Work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and some holiday's
  • Perform duties in all weather conditions, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Work mandatory overtime to include: working rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in customer service, preferably within a university or public-facing environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Relevant experience in security or enforcement operations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.

Additional Considerations

High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
