Description:

Lead commercial processing team to support Commercial Loan Officers in activities associated with originating and servicing Commercial and Agricultural Loans, in a positive manner. This includes responsibility for delegating, preparing, processing, and maintaining loan documentation for simple to complex commercial loans. Be a team mentor and resource to incoming team members. Develop, implement, and maintain training processes for commercial processing staff. Be a strong communicator and role model to assist in achieving department and company goals. 

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities 

1. Leadership   – 30%

· Manage Commercial Loan Processing team members to stay aligned and   working toward shared goals

· Support Commercial Loan staff with workflow assignments

· Prepare   and act as a liaison for internal and external audits 

· Participate   and seek leadership development opportunities 

· Perform   / assist with certain loan closings as requested by loan officer

· Test   and update written procedures as processes change and training takes place

2. Process   Commercial Loans – 30%

· Ensure   proper documentation exists following approval.

· Communicate   loan file status with Loan Officer and commercial administration staff as   appropriate.

· Process   loan closing documents using Finastra Financial Software.

· Work   with legal counsel to ensure closing documents adhere to approval   specifications

· Perfect   security as necessary.

· Creating   flood insurance worksheets and reviewing policy parameters

· Board   and keying loans in the core system 

· Review   reports on input and verifying information was keyed correctly

· Communicate   with participation banks and outside investors

· Communicate   with title companies 

· Support   participation transactions and investor reporting as needed

· Virtually   print and or scan closed loan packages, documents, and correspondence to   individual client files

· Process   loan payments and advances

· Input   and process detailed SBA loans through electronic loan processing system

3. Process   Analysis – 20%

· Maintain sufficient knowledge of bank systems

· Maintain sufficient knowledge of regulations that impact the Commercial   Loan Processing team

· Research root cause of issues identified within LAS, LCM, FMS, and   other external resources

· Document procedures as appropriate

· Review current operations to promote improvement and optimization of   business processes 

· Communicate process changes to impacted individuals

4. Maintain   Commercial Loan Operation Software – 10%

· Direct workflow and procedures of the processing team with Laser Pro

· Develop and test updates through Laser Pro defaults to adhere to   compliance guidelines

· Work with Laser Pro, outside vendors, loan officers, underwriters, and   processors to determine best practices

5. Loan   Administration Team Support – 10%

· Assist Internal and External Customers to Service and Exceed   Expectations

· Review Vendor Invoices

· Monitor/Review Daily and Monthly LAS Reports in Director

· Complete assigned department self-assessments

· Prepare and respond to audit requests

· Balance various monthly accounts

· Direct workflow and procedures of the processing team with Laser Pro

· Develop and test updates through Laser Pro defaults to adhere to   compliance guidelines

· Work with Laser Pro, outside vendors, loan officers, underwriters, and   processors to determine best practices

· Work to enhance team productivity through system default suggestions,   business analytic reports, specification changes, internal and external   training, LAS testing, Foxtrot, and additional resources
