The Associate Commercial Relationship Manager ("Associate RM") is responsible for supporting the business development efforts of the Commercial Banking team to generate meaningful incremental deal flow. This includes working closely with the team to identify, quantify and diligence new banking opportunities as well as help maintain the current client base. The Associate RM is expected to build robust financial models, recommend capital structure, complete opportunity memos, assist in preparing portfolio reviews, attend prospect meetings when applicable, and participate in internal meetings to discuss transactions and the overall portfolio.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Assist Senior RMs responsible for developing multi-faceted relationships with current clients, prospects and referral sources to generate loans, deposits and fees.
  • May be responsible for building and maintaining CRM database of prospects and referral sources.
  • Develop relationships with current clients, prospects and referral sources
  • Develop initial financial models and recommend capital structures for new opportunities.
  • Complete opportunity memos, assess strengths and weakness, mitigate weaknesses.
  • Participate in the achievement of sales and service goals to build customer relationships and enhance shareholder value while managing pipeline activities.
  • Refer business to other lines of business when client needs fall outside of the RM product offering, including but not limited to Treasury Management and Wealth Management
  • Identify and build center of influence network to assist in developing sales opportunities.
  • Assist in determining credit eligibility, preparing loan narratives, and ensuring loans meet appropriate criteria.
  • Assist in completing and presenting client portfolio reviews.
  • Work with clients to obtain financial information and analyze and present client portfolio reviews.
  • Assist in completing pitch decks, term sheet preparation and presentation.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of business specialist/commercial banking experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record of building relationships.
  • Polished, articulate and able to build positive and productive relationships.
  • Practical judgment, highly analytical and high integrity.
  • Demonstrated excellence in school, sport or other endeavors with clear passion to win.
  • Result oriented, self-starter with strong sense of ownership.
  • Exceptional work ethic.
  • Resourceful and organized.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Previous Commercial Banking experience.
  • Previous Credit training including financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with SalesForce.

Level of Complexity and Scope
  • Understand complex transactions and capital structures.

Degree of Independence and Decision-Making
  • Collaborates with Relationship Managers and other Commercial leadership including Managing Directors

Development and Training
Pay Range:
$74,000/year to $100,000/year
