POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Title Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the title process by assisting our title officer with various critical tasks during the process of opening, closing and recording real estate transactions.

LOCATION

This position is onsite in San Diego, CA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in reviewing chains of title to identify ownership history, liens, and encumbrances.

  • Review title commitments, policies, and other related documents.

  • Communicate with title officers, escrow officers, lenders, and real estate agents to resolve title related matters.

  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintain organized title files.

  • Support the processing of title curative matters as needed.

  • Provide administrative support, including handling correspondence and maintaining records.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Prior experience in title insurance, escrow, or real estate.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with legal documents.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and title software (e.g., SoftPro, Smartview or similar).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

FNF, its affiliates, and subsidiaries carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, specialty, experience, and work location. Based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience, this position has the potential to earn compensation in the range of $26.00 - $32.00 hourly. Actual rate may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including skillset, experience and location. The base compensation is one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including optional health and welfare insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability); paid holidays, vacation, and sick time off; and matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
