The server is responsible for all aspects of proper food and beverage service for all outlets including the restaurant, lobby bar and banquet facilities. Special emphasis is placed on accommodating guest preferences, flexibility with work assignments, efficiency, quality, and social demeanor that contributes to a hospitable environment.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide pleasant and professional services to all hotel guests.
  • Provide timely, efficient, enthusiastic, friendly, and unobtrusive food and beverage service.
  • Properly stock and set-up all coolers, shelving, dining tables, service stations, and bar.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all menu items and up-selling abilities.
  • Deliver food items to guest tables.
  • Bus tables and follow up with guest satisfaction on the service floor.
  • Deliver room service and execute tray pick-up.
  • Break down, clean-up, and safely store all food and beverage items
  • Ensure that all foods are correct per order, served at the proper temperatures and to the correct guest.
  • Assist other staff should they fall behind.
  • Approach the guest and inquire about food, service, etc.
  • Stopping liquor service may be necessary due to overindulgence or under age.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of wines paired with food, beverage specials, proper liquor pouring, and beer offerings.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is filled out completely and accurately (Checklists, Room Charge Tracking Forms, Cash out Sheets, etc.)
  • Assist in waste tracking procedures.
  • Maintain on-going communication and collaboration with staff with the aim of achieving high levels of cooperation and service excellence.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the food and beverage facilities and surrounding public areas.
  • Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment, and room conditions (coolers, lights, heating/cooling, furniture, etc.) for proper operation, settings, and maintenance. Report deficiencies.
  • Properly maintain all work equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries with appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy.
  • Comply with all department, hotel, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any task not outlined above that the associate has the ability to perform.

Previous food & beverage experience required. TIPS or Servsafe certifications a plus, but not required. Open availability is required including weekends.
Salary
The Salary for this position is $16 - $16.50 per hour.
