Opportunity:

RN - Oncology Nurse

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements
• Ambulatory/outpatient radiation oncology setting
• Work alongside a Medical Assistant and RN in the clinic
• Treat patients with diagnoses including prostate cancer, head and neck cancers, breast cancer, metastatic disease, lung cancer, brain cancer, skin cancer, lymphoma, and mesothelioma
• Perform peripheral IV insertion, Power Port access and de-access, and contrast infusion during CT
• Triage for contrast reactions and assess for radiation side effects
• Provide patient education related to radiation side effects
• Administer IV hydration at set rates
• Chart using Cerner and Aria EMR systems
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Radiation Oncology Nurse Certification preferred but not required
• Wear any color scrubs with solid color pants
• BSN not required

This facility operates an ambulatory and outpatient radiation oncology unit, providing specialized cancer care to patients with a wide variety of oncological diagnoses. The unit is supported by an onsite physician Monday through Friday and is equipped with modern EMR systems to support comprehensive patient care.
