  • Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary

Job Summary:

This position has the responsibility for recording, tracking, and reporting the majority of inventory and financial information for Watershed Foods. This position works with our Plant Controller to ensure that all information needed to complete the monthly financial reports is received on time. Any other cost reduction projects as well as general accounting functions fall under this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preform and manage all monthly account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end close entries, schedules and financial reports
  • Draft monthly financials statements (profit & loss, balance sheet and statement of cash flows)
  • Prepare quarterly reports for pricing and Board of Directors’ Meetings
  • Weekly cash/liquidity reporting
  • Monthly bank reconciliations and loan amortization schedules
  • Prepare monthly accrualsMaintain applicable policies and procedures
  • Maintain project lists and provide budget to actual reports
  • Maintain routine inventory counts and dispositions
  • Prepare inventory tracking spreadsheets
  • Set up new items and bills of materials in the ERP system
  • Serve as assist admin for the ERP system and provide support for other users

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Experience with Aptean (ERP system) or similar software solution
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Self-motivated and able balance multiple tasks/priorities
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience
  • Additional certification (CPA and/or CMA) preferred, but not required
