Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant entail:
  • Review parts sold by route salesmen and enter date into spreadsheet for commission payrolls.
  • Prepare and review bank account reconciliations.
  • Get detailed information for journal entries, correct data, and enter data into accounting system.
  • Work with IT department to obtain commission data, compare that data to commission goals, and send to Staff Accountants for review.
  • Work with location managers to verify general ledger expenses and follow up if there are issues.
  • Gather data and prepare Federal Excise Tax spreadsheets.
  • Review intercompany expense allocations for accuracy.
  • Send warranty, core bank, and parts return reports to locations for corrections and status on past due amounts.
  • Pull Accounts Payable invoices for review for sales tax application.
  • Reconcile and code credit card receipts.
  • Coordinate with others in the Accounting Department to troubleshoot issues as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
