Job description

Position #1: Desktop Support / Asset Management Technician

Seeking a Desktop Support professional with 1 to 2 years of experience in PC support, including hardware troubleshooting, computer imaging, device wiping, workstation deployment, and end-user support. The role requires experience managing IT assets by tracking equipment, maintaining inventory records, and updating asset management systems, preferably SAP. Responsibilities include supporting moves, adds, and changes (MAC), office relocations, workstation deployments, hardware installations, and refresh projects. Additional duties involve assessing, testing, wiping, sorting, and classifying computer equipment for reuse, donation, or disposal, evaluating peripherals and technology assets, and making disposition recommendations. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certification, SAP experience, and prior involvement in asset disposition or hardware refresh projects. Candidates must be able to pass a 7-year check.

Position #2: Asset Inventory / IT Operations Support

Seeking an IT support professional with experience in asset management, software deployment, inventory tracking, and customer support. The role involves maintaining software license records, assisting with software deployments, supporting compliance initiatives, managing documentation, processing purchase orders, and assisting end users with device setup and basic troubleshooting. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant technical or customer service experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and basic troubleshooting knowledge. Familiarity with ServiceNow, software management portals, and a willingness to learn new technologies are preferred.

Additional Desktop Support Responsibilities

This position also supports walk-up service desks, IT deployments, office moves, and ongoing operational support. Responsibilities include resolving user issues in person and remotely, managing service queues, troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware, supporting printers and mobile devices, assisting with software testing, maintaining documentation, and coordinating equipment deployment and configuration. The ideal candidate has at least one year of end-user support experience, strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment.

Overall Candidate Profile

The client is seeking a hands-on Desktop Support and Asset Management professional with experience in hardware deployment, imaging, troubleshooting, inventory management, equipment refresh projects, and end-user support. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and experience supporting enterprise technology environments are essential, while certifications, asset management experience, and exposure to ServiceNow or SAP are considered strong advantages.
