Asset Management Analyst

The Asset Management Analyst is an integral member of the Marquette Real Estate Investments asset management team, providing analytical and operational support to Asset Managers across a vertically integrated multifamily portfolio. This role offers direct exposure to all facets of real estate asset management, from monitoring day-to-day property performance and rental pricing strategy to supporting capital improvement analysis, investor reporting, and the broader investment lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an intellectually curious, detail-oriented professional who is eager to develop a deep understanding of how assets are managed, valued, and optimized. This is a hands-on role that demands both analytical rigor and strong communication skills, with work product regularly reaching senior leadership and external capital partners.

In addition to deal execution, this role mentors Analysts, elevates underwriting standards, and contributes to continuous improvement of models, processes, and investment decision-making.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Assist Asset Managers with monitoring property-level and portfolio-level operations

  • Monitor rental rate trends and lease renewal performance, synthesizing market and property-level data to inform pricing strategy

  • Analyze capital improvement projects – including unit renovations – and their performance versus underwriting

  • Gather, evaluate, and track economic, demographic, and real estate market data and conduct research to support key assumptions

  • Support the asset management team with regular and ad hoc reporting including preparation and/or review of budgets, business plans, quarterly investor reporting, and other reporting

  • Prepare quarterly investor reports and other capital partner deliverables, with a keen eye toward accuracy, consistency, and alignment with asset performance prior to distribution.

  • Support the broader investment lifecycle by assisting with acquisition due diligence, financing activities, and development initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • 0-2 Years Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate / Finance

  • Intellectual Curiosity with a demonstrated interest in real estate, proactively seeks to understand the 'why' behind the numbers, not just the output

  • High sense of ownership and work ethic, reliable, accountable, and willing to put in the effort required to do the job well

  • Ability to analyze complex financial and operational data

  • Communicate with clarity and intention, able to distill complex information into concise narratives for both internal teams and external capital partners

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills
