Who We Are
At Anchor Health Properties, we pursue better healthcare through real estate solutions.
We are a national, full-service healthcare real estate firm specializing in development, acquisitions, asset and property management, leasing, and investment management. Our integrated platform allows us to deliver customized, high-impact real estate strategies to health systems, physician groups, and institutional partners across the country.
From ground-up outpatient development to targeted investment strategies and day-to-day management of complex medical office portfolios, we bring deep expertise, a relationship-driven mindset, and an unwavering commitment to improving healthcare access and outcomes through the built environment.
Our team is purpose-driven and people-focusedโ€”always thinking beyond the traditional โ€œmedical office boxโ€ to find innovative, value-based solutions. We are proud to be recognized as a Modern Healthcare Best Place to Work for 2025, adding to our accolades including Virginiaโ€™s Best Places to Work for Interns, Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies, Revista/HREI, and Great Place to Work Certificationยฎ.
Why Anchor?
At Anchor Health Properties, we believe that when people feel valued, supported, and empowered, they thriveโ€”and so does our business.
Our internship program offers more than just a glimpse into the professional worldโ€”you will gain hands-on experience contributing to meaningful projects, receive training and mentorship from industry professionals, connect with leaders through our Anchor Summer Chat Series, build relationships with peers nationwide, and wrap up with a final presentation showcasing your work and impact.
You will be immersed in our culture, guided by our core valuesโ€”Accountability, Innovation, Collaboration, Honesty, Ownership-Mentality, and being Relationship-Drivenโ€”while enjoying:
  • Professional development and career growth support
  • Anchor Wellness Program with financial rewards for pursuing your wellness goals
  • Office outings and lunches and company-wide teambuilding initiatives
If youโ€™re looking for an internship where you will be challenged, supported, and inspiredโ€”Anchor could be the place for you.
The Opportunity
As an Asset Management intern at Anchor, you will support the Asset Management team in the execution of business plans for a portfolio of medical office real estate investments. This role provides hands on exposure to institutional asset management, including long term value creation through leasing, financial performance monitoring, and due diligence activities. You will gain direct insight into how asset management decisions impact investment performance and how work product is prepared for internal leadership, lenders, and institutional investors.
Our ownership-mentality mindset is built upon the assumption that our Asset Managers may have the opportunity to present, explain, and defend their work product to our institutional clients โ€“ and that the clientโ€™s response to the timeliness, quality, thoroughness, format, and conclusions of the employeeโ€™s work product will form their impression of Anchor Health Properties.
This internship is an on-site opportunity and the option to work remotely is not available.
How youโ€™ll contribute:
  • Assist in the analysis and monitoring of asset operating strategies to support value creation initiatives across the portfolio per the business plan.
  • Support lease administration and renewal efforts by tracking expirations, preparing lease abstracts, and assisting with renewal analyses.
  • Assist in monitoring vacant space and leasing activity, including compiling market data and coordinating with internal and third party leasing brokers.
  • Help prepare periodic asset management reports and presentation materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Audit asset marketing material listings on third party platforms for availability and correctness
  • Participate in due diligence activities, including reviewing financial statements, rent rolls, operating statements, and market research.
  • Work with in house and third-party leasing personnel to maximize building occupancy across the portfolio.
  • Work with in house and third-party construction managers to determine project capital and deferred maintenance needs and timing
  • Support disposition efforts for regional assets on an as needed basis in the future, inclusive of marketing materials and sale processes.
What you bring:

  • Interest in asset management, finance, or healthcare real estate.
  • Currently pursuing or recently obtained a degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
  • Prior internship or coursework exposure to real estate, finance, or investments is a plus, but not required.
