FHP Manufacturing is a leader in the production of geothermal and water source heat pumps, providing some of the most efficient heating and cooling comfort solutions in the industry.
Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Assembly Team Lead to support and coordinate daily operations of our Assembly Line. Reporting to the Area Supervisor, you will lead a team of associates, ensure adherence to quality standards, and maintain efficiency across processes. Your expertise will play a key role in training new team members and maintaining operational excellence through lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Area Supervisor to manage and prioritize daily assembly line activities.
  • Be proficient in all departmental processes; act as a trainer and mentor for new hires and cross-training initiatives.
  • Implement and promote BPS (Business Process Standards) principles for continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Ensure timely delivery of components and finished units to meet production schedules.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, product drawings, and special handling sheets (SHS).
  • Use manual/power tools and measuring devices to assemble appliances and perform functional tests.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, identify defects, and manage non-conforming materials appropriately.
  • Rework units as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Support a safe and organized work environment through adherence to best practices in material handling

Qualifications
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience in assembly and/or CNC machine operation preferred.
  • Must be able to coordinate tasks of others (10-15 people).
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must be able to work overtime when requested.
  • Must be flexible to work in other departments when requested.
  • Ability to read and apply work instructions, follow directions, understand and execute safety and quality procedures.
