POSITION: MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLER
WORKING HOURS: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. plus possible overtime and Saturdays
SUMMARY: Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems under a microscope in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs kit audits prior to assembly to verify all parts.
  • Reads work orders, assembly procedures, follows production drawing and sample assemblies, receives verbal instructions regarding duties to perform.
  • Use basic hand tools to assemble components and /or sub-assemblies.
  • May solder together components to assemble fabricated metal items as specified by work orders, diagrams, or layouts.
  • Bend, clean, and adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
  • Mounts, connects, and assembles components.
  • Review and count completed parts and assemblies.
  • Records completion of work on a work order and time sheet.

Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Hand and eye coordination.
  • Ability to work under a microscope.
  • Ability to read, review, and utilize directions.
  • Self - applied focus and concentration.
  • Other related job duties as assigned.
  • OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Attendance and punctuality key; must also be available to work overtime when required.

    EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: High school graduation required. Technical classes and/or related experience or training helpful but not required.
