Job Title: Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionThe Mechanical Assembler performs a variety of electro-mechanical assembly tasks, including cable harness work, box builds, basic and point-to-point wiring, and valve and electrical assembly. This role requires precise work from schematics and drawings, consistent use of hand tools and measuring equipment, and a strong focus on quality and detail in a clean room production environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electro-mechanical components and systems using detailed schematics and drawings.
- Perform cable harness assembly, including routing, bundling, and securing cables according to specifications.
- Build and assemble boxes, enclosures, and related mechanical structures.
- Carry out basic and point-to-point electrical wiring to connect components correctly and safely.
- Complete electrical assembly tasks, including installation of connectors, terminals, and related hardware.
- Perform valve assembly, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and function of all components.
- Use soldering techniques to assemble and secure electrical connections where required.
- Crimp small pins and terminals accurately using appropriate crimping tools.
- Operate hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, torque tools, and other mechanical tools safely and effectively.
- Inspect assembled parts and finished assemblies to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
- Follow clean room procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Read, interpret, and follow written work instructions, schematics, and drawings throughout the assembly process.
- Multitask across different assembly activities while maintaining accuracy and meeting production timelines.
- Collaborate with other assemblers and support staff to resolve assembly issues and improve processes as needed.
Essential Skills- Ability to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Minimum of 6+ months of assembly experience.
- Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assembly.
- Proficiency in electrical assembly and basic wiring.
- Experience with cable harness assembly.
- Experience performing box builds.
- Ability to perform valve assembly.
- Soldering skills for electrical connections.
- Ability to perform point-to-point wiring accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, torque tools, and crimping tools.
- Ability to crimp small pins and terminals precisely.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple assemblies or tasks as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with pneumatic assembly is beneficial.
- Background in inspection of assembled components is an advantage.
- Comfort working with both mechanical and electrical components.
- Ability to follow clean room protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a neat work area.
- Effective communication skills to work within a team of assemblers.

Work Environment
This position is based in a clean room environment, working alongside approximately 15 other assemblers in the department. The facility supports both day and swing shifts, providing options to match different scheduling needs. The day shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the swing shift runs from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with swing shift employees training on the day shift for the first few weeks. The work involves regular use of hand tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment in a structured, process-driven setting where cleanliness and organization are essential.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
