Senior FPGA Engineer

Description: A Senior FPGA Engineer job in Deer Valley, AZ is currently available at Belcan. Become part of the growing FPGA & ASIC Design Solutions team. As an engineer in this organization, you will be a member of an experienced, dynamic design group employing best practice design methodologies supporting our next generation of aerospace products.

This position is for an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical or Computer engineering candidate to be involved in the on-target testing, verification and integration of aerospace products.

Job Duties:

  • Requirements based testing
  • Test case and test procedure development
  • Testing in a lab environment
  • Hands on experience in developing scripts in Python to test hardware in the lab
  • Root cause and debugging on hardware using traditional lab test equipment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, part of a team of engineers with a variety of skills and backgrounds

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar field.
  • At least 5 years of FPGA / ASIC designer experience required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to document and present one's work and status
  • On target testing Verification development
  • Python scripting
  • Test case, test procedure, test script development
  • US Citizen preferred/US Person (Permanent Resident/Green Card) acceptable
  • Local to Phoenix, AZ
  • Hybrid schedule for local talent.
  • Onsite testing will be required 2-3 days per week.

Desired skills:

  • FPGA lab validation with advanced lab equipment
  • Experience with python scripting
  • Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools
  • Requirements tracing
  • Previous Honeywell experience

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $130,000 to $180,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
