Lockheed Martin Space's Engineering & Technology (E&T) organization is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager, Asc to lead a team responsible for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used in the assembly, integration, and test of spacecraft and missile systems.
In this role, the selected candidate lead a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) focused on developing new business proposals and delivering highquality GSE solutions to Space Lines of Business (LOBs). The Project Engineering Manager will guide the team through scoping, planning, and writing BOEs for GSE efforts that directly enable vehicle assembly, test and launch operations.
This position requires strong collaboration skills. The candidate will build and maintain relationships with key partners across the Product Centers, Assembly Integration & Test (AI&T), Operations, and GSE Talent Centers. They will also coordinate new business activities across Space LOBs to ensure alignment, consistency, and successful delivery of GSE products that meet program needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and build relationships with Product Center, AI&T, Operations, and GSE Talent Centers to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Coordinate new business activities within the Space LOBs, including identifying opportunities, develop and validate BOEs, generate Top level Plans and support EPPs.
Guide SMEs for GSE production, including Mechanical Ground Support Equipment, Electrical Ground Support Equipment, and Special Test Equipment
Implement strategies for GSE estimating processes, reduce costs, and enhance quality of BOEs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that GSE products meet customer requirements and are properly estimated to be delivered on time and within budget
Ability to think systemically, considering the entire project lifecycle and all interconnected components, to drive comprehensive and accurate end-to-end estimating.
Develop schedules, and resource allocation plans for GSE New Business.
