Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Compensation:
  • $16.00 per hour
Primary Role:
Substitute Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in supporting student learning. Under the guidance of a certified teacher, they provide instructional assistance and contribute to a positive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with individual students or groups of students on specialized instructional projects.
  • Assist teachers by providing valuable student insights that enhance learning and behavioral strategies.
  • Support students in utilizing instructional resources and help develop learning materials.
  • Utilize personal skills and abilities in areas such as foreign languages, arts, crafts, and music to enrich instructional programs.
  • Provide assistance with related instructional activities as needed.
  • Support students with health-related tasks when appropriate.
  • Adheres to the West Irondequoit Code of Conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
