Job description

Responsible for providing comprehensive support to a multi-million-dollar area, a multi-event portfolio, and the associated teams, ensuring efficient execution of business operations. Serves as a key member of an area development team, critical to achieving revenue success through excellent internal and external relationship management, revenue support functions and event execution. Proactively manages and executes critical tasks and activities for the area and a large portfolio of events, driving achievement of the area revenue plan and growth strategies. Contributes to area and region projects, playing a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and supporting growth initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • In partnership with event managers, ensures best in class event execution and the achievement of aggressive revenue targets. Manages relationships with event participants, volunteers, partners, sponsors and vendors, with a focus on high quality execution and stewardship. Oversees assigned event projects including, but not limited to, event online presence/website, event communications, look book, auction, event collateral, and inventory management. 65%
  • Manages financial tasks including processing donations, managing payment processes, and tracking expenses in accordance with internal policies and procedures. 15%
  • Provides multi-faceted support for the area leadership team and volunteer leadership including the area boards, event leadership committees, and executive volunteer engagement. 5%
  • Subject matter expert in the use of internal platforms and data systems to achieve business objectives -financial, event & constituent management, reporting, legal, procurement, contract management, communications, promotion/brand, auction management. 5%
  • Assists with event volunteer management - recruitment, training, scheduling, day of event, communications, recognition, stewardship. 5%
  • Provides general office and business operation support. 5%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Associate degree preferred or a combination of education and work experience.

  • Years of experience: 3 years of event support or operations support experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Ability to proactively identify needs & issues and implement solutions to address them.
  • Skilled in building strong internal partnerships and working collaboratively with team members to ensure consistent communication and integration to achieve shared objectives.
  • Excels in building strong external relationships with partners and volunteers with a focus on providing excellent customer service and customer-centric solutions
  • Understands and can effectively navigate complex company dynamics and processes, involving the right stakeholders to remove barriers and get things done
  • Self-accountable to meet commitments while gaining trust and confidence through honesty and integrity.
  • Self-directed, works independently with little direction, taking initiative to identify and complete work
  • Develops expertise in systems quickly, utilizing our tools to effectively and efficiently complete tasks and support the team - Salesforce, PowerBI, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, etc.
  • Develops and delivers multi-mode communications tailored to unique needs of different business activities and audiences.
  • Effectively manages multiple priorities and timelines, delivering high quality results

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Limited travel to area meetings and events, including some evening and weekend work

The starting rate is $25 to $30/hour. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
