Job Description
As a Sr. Advisor Area Development at ALSAC, you have the incredible opportunity to be a driving force behind our mission to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Your role will play a pivotal part in ensuring that we continue to grow giving and exceed revenue goals, enabling us to provide cutting-edge medical care and research that changes lives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Creative Visionary: In collaboration with area leadership, develop and execute iconic signature event experiences that transcend expectations, from intimate gatherings to grand galas. Driving this strategy will the recruitment and cultivation of high-profile committee.
  • Organizational Pro: Manage projects autonomously, with an eye for detail.
  • Cultivate Relationships with Purpose: Utilize your exceptional interpersonal and relationship development skills to forge deep connections with corporate partners and individuals, fostering relationships that extend beyond transactions. Your ability to engage through face-to-face interactions and strategic communication will help recruit new corporate sponsors and nurture existing partnerships, generating a cycle of support that sustains our mission.
  • Collaborate for Impact: Team up with internal stakeholders to achieve defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Your role will involve monitoring progress, evaluating outcomes, and using insights to guide necessary adjustments. Through effective collaboration, you'll ensure that every action taken aligns with our mission and maximizes outcomes.
  • Empower Fundraising Initiatives: Leverage your fundraising expertise to empower volunteers and donors. Providing them with motivation, direction, and resources through various communication channels, including personal visits, written correspondence, and electronic platforms, will be your conduit for ensuring their success in driving fundraising initiatives.
  • Strategize for Growth: Develop compelling and purpose-driven cultivation and stewardship strategies. These strategies will enhance engagement and philanthropic contributions from St. Jude donors, fortifying the revenue programs that underpin our lifesaving work.
  • Champion Donor Relationships: Builds, maintains, and manages a blended portfolio of 75-100 corporate, individual leadership annual donors and leadership volunteers. Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate, individual, major, and leadership annual donors, and volunteers. Your role will involve building, maintaining, and nurturing these critical relationships. Through strategic nurturing, you'll not only retain their support but also foster growth in their contributions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with program owners in Development to enhance donor and volunteer relationship management. Your insights and collaborative efforts will ensure the seamless integration of stewardship, financial analysis, and program alignment to amplify our impact.
  • Data-Driven Impact: Leverage your high-level understanding of data systems to drive effective stewardship strategies. Analyzing donor interactions and engagement details will empower you to tailor personalized touchpoints, ensuring our supporters receive accurate, relevant, and timely communications that resonate with their philanthropic journey.
  • Elevate Our Presence: Represent ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in all interactions, leaving a positive imprint that echoes our commitment to excellence. Your representation will showcase the hospital's dedication and the impactful work of our fundraising organization.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Develop and Grow: Develop multiple high-value ($1M+ revenue-producing events including dinners, galas, golf tournaments) with growth rates and expense ratios assigned by territory and area leadership.
  • Compelling Communication: Your ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, relatable manner sets you apart. Whether writing or speaking, you possess a knack for influencing and inspiring others.
  • Relationship Building: With a strong donor-centric focus, you have the innate capacity to build relationships that are enduring and fruitful. Your strong interpersonal skills contribute to your capacity to relate to donors and volunteers.
  • Innovative Collaboration: Your ability to collaboration shines as you work with diverse teams and individuals. Work in collaboration with the internal area and enterprise team, volunteers and other stakeholders to identify, cultivate, and solicit donors. Conduct prospect research on potential donors and develop sponsorship proposals. Your clear communication style and influencing abilities foster impactful teamwork.
  • Experience in Philanthropy: Your background includes relational event experience with committee, board, and corporate engagement encompassing strategic planning and execution of premier gala events. Your insights will be instrumental in driving our fundraising initiatives forward.
  • Corporate Sector Relationships: Ideally possess existing relationships within the corporate sector and the ability to prospect new corporate sponsors and donors.
  • Executive Volunteer Leadership: Experience managing high-level executive volunteer leadership committees.
  • Education and Adaptability: 6 or more years of relevant experience in fundraising, development, customer service, or sales. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Travel: Involves regular travel in-market to support Oklahoma City and Tulsa partners 15%-20%, including some nights and weekends and periodic travel to Dallas, TX for quarterly regional meetings and Memphis, TN for enterprise events.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for this role.

This is a remote based role in Oklahoma City, OK.
