Job description

Job Title: Project Manager – Architectural Millwork

Location: Long Island, NY

Industry: Architectural Woodwork / Millwork (not residential cabinetry or fixtures)

Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage complex architectural woodwork projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of high-end architectural millwork processes, materials, and production methods. This role requires precision, accountability, and the ability to coordinate multiple project components efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all phases of architectural millwork projects, from planning and budgeting to installation and close-out.

  • Coordinate with architects, general contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.

  • Review and interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings.

  • Monitor schedules, budgets, and project documentation through Procore and Sage.

  • Identify and resolve issues proactively to maintain project timelines and quality standards.

  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail—errors are costly and must be avoided through diligent oversight.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience managing architectural millwork projects.

  • Proven ability to independently run complex, custom woodwork projects.

  • Proficiency with Procore (project management) and Sage (accounting).

  • Must be local to Long Island, NY – no relocation available.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Must be ready to contribute immediately; this is not an entry-level position.
