The team advises multinational companies, financial institutions, and sovereign-related entities on complex, high-stakes cross-border disputes. Associates joining the group from a peer law firm can expect to work on international commercial arbitrations, investor–state disputes, and litigation with significant international elements, often involving parallel proceedings across multiple jurisdictions and novel issues of international and public law.

Responsibilities:

  • Support cases involving cross-border commercial disputes, enforcement of arbitral awards and judgments, and treaty-based claims
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on international law, arbitral rules, foreign law, and U.S. federal and state litigation issues
  • Draft memoranda, briefs, motions, and arbitration submissions
  • Assist with preparation for hearings, including witness and expert coordination
  • Work closely with clients, co-counsel, foreign counsel, and experts across jurisdictions
  • Contribute to case strategy and procedural planning on sophisticated international matters
  • Manage assigned workstreams efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Qualifications:

  • Junior to mid-level associate (JD 2022–2024 graduates only)
  • J.D. from a top-tier law school with exceptional academic credentials
  • Admitted to the NY bar and must reside in New York
  • Prior big law firm litigation experience is essential
  • 2 solid years of experience in international disputes is essential
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus but we cannot accept current Judicial Law Clerks
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary range of $235,000 – $310,000, depending on experience
  • Eligibility for a discretionary year-end bonus
  • Exposure to high-profile international disputes and complex cross-border matters
  • Training and mentorship from leading practitioners in international arbitration and litigation
  • Long-term professional development and career progression opportunities
