International Arbitration Senior Associate Attorney

Location: Miami, FL
Salary: $390,000–$435,000

Direct Counsel is seeking an International Arbitration Senior Associate Attorney to join a leading Am Law firm'sInternational Arbitration practice in Miami. This opportunity is ideal for a senior associate with approximately five years of international dispute resolution experience who is eager to work on sophisticated, high-stakes international arbitration and cross-border litigation matters.

The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized team representing clients in complex, "bet-the-company" international disputes while working closely with sophisticated multinational clients and experienced arbitration practitioners.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in complex international arbitration proceedings and cross-border disputes.
  • Develop case strategy for high-value international litigation and arbitration matters.
  • Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, legal memoranda, witness statements, and arbitration submissions.
  • Prepare for hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex international legal issues.
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and arbitral tribunals throughout all phases of a dispute.
  • Participate in witness preparation, fact development, and evidence management.
  • Advise clients on international dispute resolution strategies and risk management.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on sophisticated cross-border matters.
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials.
  • Active bar admission in the United States.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience handling international arbitration, international litigation, or other cross-border dispute resolution matters.
  • Strong understanding of the strategic and practical aspects of international disputes.
  • Exceptional legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to advise sophisticated multinational clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence and strong interpersonal skills.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary of $390,000–$435,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
