Hotels at Home – Fairfield, NJ (On-site)

Hotels at Home is a global e-commerce company partnering with leading hospitality brands to bring the hotel experience directly to consumers. We are seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Fairfield, NJ.

This role is ideal for someone with strong operational accounting experience who enjoys working across reconciliations, month-end close, journal entries, and day-to-day accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute month-end close activities
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage AP/AR accounting processes and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records
  • Assist with financial reporting and supporting schedules
  • Work within ERP systems to ensure accurate accounting data
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to improve accounting processes
  • Support ongoing process improvement and automation initiatives


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full-time Staff Accountant or operational accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close
  • Strong understanding of journal entries and reconciliations
  • Experience with AP, AR, and bank reconciliations end-to-end
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, JDE, QuickBooks, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, on-site environment
