Job description

We are seeking a Tax Coordinator in the Private Client Group of our wealth management firm. The candidate will provide administrative support to the tax department, process deliverables, and assist with any special projects as needed.
In this position you will:
  • Be responsible for year-round processing of deliverables (tax returns, tax projections, net worth statements, special projects)
  • Assist with sending deliverables to clients
  • Prepare, print and mail engagement letters and tax organizers
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Greet visitors and delivery personnel
  • Provide administrative support to the tax department to promote efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Coordinate mailings, via USPS, UPS or FedEx
  • Ensure rooms are set up appropriately for office meetings
  • Communicate professionally with team members and clients
  • Organize, scan and file confidential client information including supporting documentation for the tax returns
  • Prepare Power of Attorney forms
  • Assist in maintaining databases
  • Work collaboratively with multiple departments and team members
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience with a CPA firm is preferred but not required
  • Experience with processing individual, partnership and trust income tax returns is preferred but not required
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment where time management, attention to detail, follow through, and meeting deadlines are critical
  • Excellent computer proficiency (e.g. Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook
  • A willingness to learn tax related software systems
  • Strong client orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player attitude
  • Problem solver mentality
