Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for investment portfolio construction, implementation of strategy, and proactive portfolio oversight while maintaining the Clearstead Investment Philosophy to provide superior client service and support.
Position responsibilities:
โ€ข Create complex investment analysis or modeling to support sophisticated investment clients
โ€ข Evaluates prospect investment data, leads and delivers the design of investment portfolio proposals, and collaborates with team members in a positive and passionate manner to win new business
โ€ข Facilitate live investment portfolio reviews with current clients and prospects
โ€ข Communicate portfolio updates and rebalance initiatives to assigned clients as needed
โ€ข Follow the Clearstead approach of creating client meeting agendas/recaps
โ€ข Advanced knowledge of clients through reading internal CRM notes, studying client files, and collaborating with team members
โ€ข Has ambitions of becoming a client facing advisor and managing their own book of business.
โ€ข Active in business development efforts within the community
โ€ข Maintain strong command of capital market dynamics and economic landscape, portfolio theory, market history and trends, and appreciation of individual investor behavioral traits
โ€ข Advanced understanding of and utilize Tamarac Advisor View/Rebalancer, Addepar and other software systems to analyze and manage client portfolios
โ€ข Serve as the primary Clearstead point of contact for several clients carrying an investment focus, and support contact for clients receiving comprehensive services (Planning, Tax, Investments)
โ€ข Collaborate and mentor Portfolio Associates to manage client investment portfolios
โ€ข Participating in Investment Research and Asset Allocation Committee meetings
โ€ข Regularly communicate with Research Department on investment strategy
โ€ข Manage client databases and investment policy information to uphold data integrity
โ€ข Organize and track client assignments to efficiently manage workload
โ€ข Use internal systems to manage work efforts and communicate effectively to drive consistent and professional client experiences
โ€ข Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
Essential skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics or related field; master's degree preferred
  • Advanced designation (i.e., CFA, CFP, CAIA) strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of investment and financial market experience within a financial services institution; experience within a private wealth advisory setting preferred
  • Passion for investments
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment where time management, attention to detail, follow-through and meeting deadlines are critical
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Strong computer proficiency (e.g. Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated client service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Has a strong ability to solve problems and an entrepreneurial drive to get things done
  • Strong team player with the ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization
