Job description

As a Fitter Apprentice here at Honeywell, you will embark on a hands-on learning journey to develop your skills in fitting, assembling, and maintaining mechanical components and systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and technical knowledge in a dynamic industrial environment, setting the foundation for a successful career in mechanical trades.

You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor and you'll work out of our Miami, FL location on an On-site work schedule.

 In this role, you will impact the efficiency and reliability of our production and maintenance operations by ensuring that mechanical assemblies and equipment are installed and maintained to the highest standards, contributing to overall operational excellence.

YOU MUST HAVE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with installing HVAC systems including furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, piping, and controls
  • Support maintenance and repair tasks such as cleaning components, replacing filters, belts, and basic parts
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Assist with system testing, startup, and troubleshooting under supervision
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at job sites
  • Follow all OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
