Position Summary:
As an Electrical Scheduler, you will collaborate with project managers, field leadership, and project teams to develop and maintain detailed schedules specific to electrical scopes of work. This includes planning, sequencing, and tracking activities such as underground, rough-in, trim, equipment setting, and final commissioning.You will play a critical role in aligning field execution with project milestones, ensuring labor efficiency, and proactively identifying and mitigating schedule risks.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers, electrical foremen, general contractors, and other trades to develop detailed project schedules specific to electrical work
  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules including:
    • Electrical installation activities (underground, rough-in, trim, finish)
    • Major milestones (energization, inspections, commissioning)
    • Long lead equipment (switchgear, panels, transformers)
  • Sequence electrical work in alignment with overall project schedules and other trades
  • Integrate general contractor schedules with internal electrical schedules and identify conflicts or risks
  • Track and update schedule progress, including percent complete and milestone status
  • Analyze schedule impacts related to:
    • Material delays
    • Labor shortages
    • Design changes or RFIs
  • Provide weekly labor forecasts and manpower projections to support field operations
  • Work closely with field leadership to validate schedule accuracy and feasibility
  • Participate in weekly project meetings to review progress and upcoming work
  • Identify opportunities for schedule acceleration or recovery strategies
  • Support documentation for project reviews, claims, or risk mitigation
  • Assist in improving planning and scheduling practices across electrical teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction scheduling, with strong electrical project experience
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical construction sequencing, including coordination with other trades
  • Proficient user of scheduling software (Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud, etc.
  • Deep understanding of: Critical Path Method (CPM)
  • Ability to:
    • Develop complex, resource-loaded schedules
    • Analyze delays and recommend mitigation strategies
    • Lead scheduling discussions with project teams and stakeholders
  • Experience forecasting labor needs and supporting field productivity
  • Ability to mentor junior schedulers or project staff
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Switchgear and equipment lead times
    • Inspection and energization sequencing
  • Demonstrates advanced problem-solving, foresight, and decision-making
Minimum Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking in office and occasional field environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and virtually
  • Manual dexterity for computer and office equipment use
  • Close vision required for detailed computer work
  • Occasional bending, reaching, or kneeling
  • May be exposed to jobsite conditions when visiting field locations
  • Must comply with all company policies and safety standards
  • Consistent, reliable attendance required
  • Primarily office-based in the Denver Metro Area with occasional travel to jobsites
