The Donor Data Coordinator plays a key role in providing an excellent donor experience, the cornerstone of the Mercy Ships Marketing Strategy. The Donor Data Coordinator implements Mercy Ships data governance and hygiene standards and supports Marketing Data Team quality control efforts. Initiates and participates in all process improvement initiatives. Supports Marketing Data Team in providing research, reports and data analytics to all levels of Leadership. Provides training and mentoring to others on the team and in other departments.
This is a full time, onsite role located at our office in Lindale, Texas
Compensation Range is $20-$22/hour

How You Will Contribute:
  • Responsible for coordinating and executing campaign specific marketing strategies by implementing complex, multi-step processes to compile large data sets and complicated coding that accurately represent specific audience modeling strategies.
  • Executes all Cultivation, Acquisition, email and call campaign data requirements. Applies accurate audience weighting, segmentation, suppression, coding and ask strategies. Incorporates data testing techniques as needed. Identifies and assists Systems Team and Information Technology Team in resolving data integrity issues.
  • Produces multiple weekly and monthly reports and processes high level daily reports. Determines appropriate Development Director assignments and Gift Coding as needed.
  • Actively contributes to Marketing Data Team quality control and process improvement initiatives. Performs internal quality assurance checks for all campaigns and reports. Maintains and improves current process documentation; creates new process documentation as needed. Monitors and maintains data governance according to Mercy Ships Data Standards. Investigates and corrects data quality issues using a variety of methods and software tools.
  • Supports Marketing Data Manager and Marketing Data Lead in providing research, reports and data analytics to all levels of Leadership. Provides training and mentoring to others on the team and in other departments.
  • Maintains alignment and upholds Mercy Ships Core Values, Code of Conduct, and follows the policies and procedures published on Compass.

Education and Experience:
  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, conditional formatting, advanced formulas, nested statements, Xlook up).
  • High School diploma required. Additional relevant technical training or college coursework is preferred.
  • Work experience (1+ year) in data entry and data management, preferably dealing with large data files.
  • Experience with data analytics platform and/or data management software.
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment preferred.
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
