This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of appraisal and lending guidelines.

What does an appraisal coordinator do?

An appraisal coordinator reviews appraisal reports on homes and other properties to determine whether or not to issue a mortgage or other loan. As an appraisal coordinator, your duties revolve around analyzing an applicant’s assets, the reports from an appraiser, and any additional information relevant to your bank or financial institution. You make your reports and recommendations to the head of the department or upper management. The qualifications needed for a career as an appraisal coordinator often include an associate degree.
