Description

Work Arrangement: This full-time sales role is designed to maximize time in the market building relationships, prospecting, meeting with clients, and developing new business opportunities. Regular presence in office is expected to support collaboration, training, team engagement, and internal relationship-building. Work location and scheduling will vary based on client, prospect, and business needs.

The Risk Advisor drives new business and expands client relationships within the large commercial P&C market. This role focuses on prospecting complex accounts, delivering strategic risk solutions, and partnering internally and externally to provide superior client experience.

Responsibilities 

  • Build and manage a pipeline of large commercial prospects to meet sales goals. 
  • Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiation, and close. 
  • Develop tailored risk strategies and insurance solutions for complex clients. 
  • Gather and analyze underwriting data (exposures, surveys, loss history). 
  • Partner with carriers and internal teams to secure competitive programs and deliver client solutions. 
  • Expand and retain a profitable book through strong relationship management and renewals. 
  • Represent the agency at industry events and identify cross-sell opportunities.
  • Utilize the agency management system for daily activities, documentation, and assigned tasks.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to strengthen skills, knowledge, and effectiveness. 
  • Ensure compliance with agency processes, confidentiality standards, and quality metrics. 
  • Work on projects and other work as assigned.
  • Effectively use MS Office, standard office applications, and other technologies.
  • Skillfully use AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to aid work and efficiency. 
  • Work effectively with all team members, provide backup support, and contribute to team collaboration. 
  • Demonstrate alignment with our purpose, values, and culture.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5+ years of large P & C insurance experience in a sales focused role, at independent agency preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance license in good standing. 

General Working Conditions

  • Dynamic environment with frequent communication via in person, video, email, and phone. 
  • Offsite client, network, and prospect meetings require non-standard normal working hours - expect evening events and travel as normal course of business.
  • Ability to view computer monitors for extended periods of time.

Compensation

 This is a commission-based role. During the initial validation period, a draw may be provided. Total compensation can range from $50,000 to $200,000+ based on performance. Compensation offered will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Actual earnings will vary, and compensation decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. The stated range reflects the Company's good-faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of posting.

Qualifying positions will also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, such as participation in family medical and dental insurance programs, 401K plan, PTO, licensing, and continuing education reimbursement.

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without Company sponsorship.
