Role Summary
As a Sr. App Integration Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing asynchronous and synchronous patterns, developing integrations levering AWS and a number of other responsibilities on our fast parsed Enterprise Systems team. This role will be located in Palo Alto, CA and report to our Sr. Manager, Integration Engineering.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement asynchronous and synchronous patterns including Request/Response, Pub/Sub, and Event Streaming utilizing AWS native architecture.
  • Develop integrations leveraging AWS services, Kafka, and iPaaS platforms (e.g., Dell Boomi, Workato).
  • Architect decoupled, event-driven systems designed to mitigate common distributed system challenges, such as network latency and eventual consistency.
  • Rapidly acquire and apply expertise in emerging Generative AI technologies, transitioning from traditional middleware to AI-driven integration patterns
  • .Standardize integration templates and reusable services to ensure scalability and industry alignment.
  • Empower "citizen integrators" by providing self-service frameworks, effectively scaling integration capabilities across the organization.
  • Collaborate with business and IT leadership to define requirements and deliver technical solutions with a "product-first" mindset.
  • Champion architectural excellence by providing expert feedback on corporate strategies and standards within the broader technical community.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in complex integration projects involving both SaaS and on-premise applications.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically focused on AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, EKS, API Gateway)
  • Expertise in at least one major middleware platform, such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or Workato.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Solid understanding of Microservices, API design, ETL processes, and Web Services.
  • Deep knowledge of industry-standard protocols, including REST, SFTP, HTTPS, and SMTP.
  • Hands-on experience implementing integrationauthentication mechanisms such as OAuth, SAML, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Preferred knowledge of implementing Amazon Bedrock Agents or framework-agnostic platforms like Bedrock AgentCore; familiarity with open-source frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or LlamaIndex is a major plus.
  • Experience using Airflow or AWS Step Functions to orchestrate multi-step agent workflows, handle retries, and manage human-in-the-loop approvals.
  • Experience integrating SaaS applications with SAP HANA is highly desirable.
  • End-to-end B2B integration experience (EDI, Punch-out/Punch-in); familiarity with gRPC, AS2, and WebSockets is a distinct advantage.
  • Proven track record using tools like AWS Lambda and Apache Airflow for data pipeline and workflow orchestration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep proficiency in GitLab Version Control and branching strategies (e.g., GitLab Flow, Trunk-based development) within highly controlled, compliant environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, or CloudFormation to automate deployment pipelines.
  • An innovative, out-of-the-box thinker with strong organizational skills and a "product mindset" toward integration.

Pay Disclosure
The salary range for this role is $132,100 - $165,100 for California based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26, including but not limited to paid vacation, paid sick leave, and a competitive portfolio of insurance benefits including life, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance to eligible employees.
