The Schwab Cybersecurity Services (SCS) organization is a centralized Center of Excellence (COE) within Schwab Technology Services (STS) that provides security services to advance Schwab’s security posture of critical assets.

Automation Engineering team within SCS Application and Data Engineering organization owns the strategy, design, development, implementation and support through automation and orchestration for achieving high security and performance, increasing efficiency and eliminating manual repetitive tasks in cyber operations and business process within SCS.

We are looking for a Cloud Security Automation Specialist working alongside a team of exceptionally talented and innovative Engineers.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver low-code automation solutions using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and Appian to enable secure, scalable business processes.
  • Design and maintain integrations and workflows across APIs, cloud, and on-prem systems, ensuring reliable and compliant data flow within security and Identity Access Management ecosystems.
  • Support platform governance and optimization, including best practices, Application Lifecycle Management processes, and continuous improvement of automation solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Support Automation solutions for Cyber Security tools/applications, including but not limited to Identity and Access Management (LAM)
  • Use, follow and support Agile/Kanban practices is preferred.
What you have

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related degree
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) required; Appian preferred
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience building automation workflows and integrations, including APIs, cloud services, and on-premise connectivity
  • 2-4 years working in Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable automation solutions
  • Strong understanding of low-code platform development and best practices, including environment management, basic ALM concepts, maintenance and feature enhancements
  • Exposure to security-focused domains such as Identity Governance, Authentication, Authorization, or Data Protection
  • Experience with relational databases such as Dataverse or MSSQL
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Well-organized, adaptable, and eager to learn and apply new automation and low-code capabilities
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze, propose and implement timely, cost effective, quality solutions for all issues or problems within area of responsibility.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify stakeholders, assess their needs and manage their expectations through effective communication.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP or SANS is preferred.
