Job description

Position: Appian Development Lead

Location: Dallas, TX

Long Term Contract

We have a requirement for Appian Development team lead.

Preferred Location: Dallas TX – hybrid working, at least 3 days a week from office.

JD for the role is as below:

Implement user stories. Provide technical guidance to involved team members. Come up with scalable, and efficient architecture/ designs for Appian solutions. Get them reviewed & singed off from involved Architects and client stakeholders. Conduct code/ solution reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Troubleshoot reported application issues/ tickets and provide effective solutions. Lead, mentor, and motivate aligned team of Appian developers. Tasks delegation and tracking. Facilitate team communication and collaboration. Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements and timelines. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and participate in agile ceremonies and provide regular project updates. Resource in this role will design and develop Appian solutions.

This will include:

  • Implementing end-to-end process automation using Appian and other intelligent automation technologies
  • Interfacing with customer and work with various customer internal teams, coordinate and get the changes completed as required
  • Should be good in communication and have worked with Customer directly
  • Able to work independently
  • Developing Appian-based solutions using all object types available in Appian.
  • Integrating with external applications using REST, SOAP-based APIs and files.
  • Performing code reviews for Appian developers
  • Conducting root cause analysis for Appian outages
  • Restoring Appian services in the event of an outage
  • Experience working with Appian plugins
  • Reviewing Application performance and suggesting improvements
  • Reviewing Environment performance, provide recommendations on sizing, and identify resource needs prior to bottlenecks
  • Documentation
  • Work with teams in different time zones

Primary skill required (must have): 

  • Appian
  • Appian AI Skills
  • Integration with internal/external systems using APIs, File Transfer etc.
  • Aware of Application Security and how to interact with Secure Applications e.g. through Firewall, Secured APIs with Okta etc.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum) – proficient in using JIRA for sprint/ tasks tracking.
